Think'n Green

Auburn Printers & Integrated Marketing has a history of prioritizing environmental stewardship with the use of sustainable materials and preservation of natural resources, as well as removing harmful chemicals and compounds from the printing process. Print is both environmentally and socially responsible as new technologies have allowed the industry to continuously strive for greener materials. This evolution allows us to use paper more efficiently and, more importantly, use safer materials for our workers, community, and environment. The environment and sustainability is major factor into every decision we make.

The majority of today’s catalogs, printed collateral and direct mail pieces are printed on recycled or environmentally sustainable paper with inks that do not use heavy metals. Auburn Printers & Integrated Marketing is proud to support the Sustainable Green Printing (SGP) Partnership that encourages sustainable business practices in an attempt to reduce printing's environmental impact. SGP certified printers must meet a set of criteria and set performance standards to ensure their impact on our world is as responsible and minimized.

WRAP Award spacer WRAP Award

The Waste Reduction Awards Program (WRAP) is an annual program, established in 1993 by the California Integrated Waste Management Board, that recognizes California businesses that have made outstanding efforts to reduce nonhazardous waste and send less garbage to our landfills.

Auburn Printers & Integrated Marketing is proud to have recieved the WRAP Award for the years 2009, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2002, 1999, 1998, 1997, 1996. One of the more unique recycling policies at Auburn Printers & Integrated Marketing is buying their employees lunch! With the money received from recycled metal plates used for printing (approximately 100 lbs. per week), Auburn Printers & Integrated Marketing provides a restaurant take-out lunch to its employees as often as it can. Money from recycled cans and bottles also goes into this fund. Auburn Printers recycled approximately 55 tons of paper last year, saving an estimated $3,000.
